Sonos Installation

Expert Sonos installation for Sydney homes.

Sonos is one of the easiest ways to enjoy great sound throughout your home, but getting the most from it depends on how it's designed and installed. Fidelity Systems designs and installs Sonos systems across Sydney, from a single soundbar to music in every room, with speakers placed for the best sound, cables hidden, and a network that keeps everything playing without dropouts.

Living Room & Home Theatre

Better sound for your TV, one step at a time.

What makes Sonos special is how easily it mixes custom-installed speakers with everyday Sonos products, all controlled from one app.

You don't need to do everything at once. A typical living room system might grow like this, and every step works with what you already have.

Start with a soundbar

A soundbar such as the Arc Ultra is a big step up from TV speakers.

Kitchen, Dining, Study & Bedroom

Another room, another zone.

Add a Sonos Era 300 in the study, a pair of ceiling speakers in the kitchen, or outdoor speakers on the deck, each its own zone, or grouped so music follows you through the house.

Here's how a study might come together, from a single speaker to a fully built-in system.

A single Era 300

The simplest way to add music to the study: one Sonos Era 300 on a shelf or desk, ready in minutes.

Records & CDs

Your records and CDs, everywhere.

Connect a turntable or CD player to Sonos and play your physical media in any room.

Put a record on in the living room and hear it in the kitchen, the study or out on the deck, alongside everything else you stream.

Why Sonos systems drop out, and how we prevent it.

I've met countless clients who had a frustrating experience with Sonos: speakers disappearing from the app, music cutting out, groups that wouldn't hold. Almost every time, the cause wasn't the speakers. It was the setup and the home network. Once we fixed those, they ended up loving their system.

Because we design and install Wi-Fi and networking too, we make sure your Sonos system sits on a network built to support it, with properly placed access points, wired connections where they make sense, and settings tuned for reliable streaming.

Planning a larger system?

For whole-home audio across many rooms, or audio that works alongside lighting and automation, a centralised system may suit better than individual Sonos speakers. We also design and install matrix audio and Control4-integrated systems, and can advise on the right approach for your home.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy the Sonos equipment myself?

No. We can supply all Sonos products, as well as any other audio equipment your system needs.

Can you install Sonos in an existing home without major work?

Yes. Many Sonos products are wireless, which makes it very flexible for retrofitting. Where we do add ceiling or wall speakers, we work neatly to keep disruption to a minimum.

Will my Wi-Fi be good enough for Sonos?

It's best to have a dedicated router or wireless system rather than relying on the router your internet provider supplied. Modern mesh systems such as TP-Link Deco make this easy for most homes, and Ubiquiti is a great option for larger homes. We'll check your network during the assessment.

Can you connect my existing ceiling speakers to Sonos?

Yes. A Sonos Amp can power existing ceiling speakers, turning them into a Sonos zone you control from the app.

Does Sonos work with Control4 and other smart home systems?

Yes. Sonos integrates with Control4 and other platforms, so your music can be part of scenes alongside lighting, blinds and more.
